MEASURE K DEBATE--Water & $$

The Public Debate on Petaluma's Measure K took place last Wednesday evening. Bryant Moynihan (BM) argued the case for passage of the measure and Jeff Mayne (JM) argued in opposition to the measure.

COPPER GUTTERS--Measure K's Red Herring

The core theme of the argument presented by proponents of Measure K is that the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility is "overbuilt, over engineered, and over designed." To correct this situation, they argue that the rates should be reduced as provided in Measure K.

It's another election season in Petaluma as evidenced by the calendar and the sprouting of campaign signs throughout the city. As the season advances, campaign mailers and door hangers will descend upon us with increasing frequency.

The Happy 150th Birthday Petaluma Card presented by Igor & Ivan more or less represents the last word on the "traditional" topics (shopping carts, vandalism, graffiti, trash, etc.) covered on this blog. Quite simply, there is not much more to say on those particular aspects of Petaluma life.

POLICE K-9 COMPETITION

The Western States Police K-9 Trials have been conducted in Petaluma in recent years. In fact, the 11th Annual K-9 Trials took place on August 16 of this year in Lucchesi Park.
